- Your
skin should be clean before tanning, free of dirt, makeup...grease,
grime, goop - you get the idea- You tan much better when you're
clean.
- Plan
to tan in your birthday suit? Be cautious when tanning in the nude,
especially if these areas have not been previously exposed to the
sun or indoor tanning. For the first few visits cover these areas
for at least 1/2 of the length of your session. Allow these "sensitive
areas" to become desensitized gradually, you'll be glad you did.
- During your session move around slightly and/or change positions.
This will increase circulation, which will aid the tanning process
and help reduce the lack of tanning on pressure points: your shoulder
blades and the small of your back for example.
- Protect your eyes! Goggels must be worn.
- If
you are pregnant, have heart trouble or are receiving any kind of
medical treatment consult your physician before starting any tanning
program.
- If
you are taking any kind of medications, please let us know. Some
medications may cause you to have a reaction to UV light. Please
review the "photosensitive" medication list and if you're currently
taking one then you should not tan until consulting your physician
or a pharmacist.
- Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!!!
